Heraclitus states “The only constant is change” in today’s fast paced world change is a constant the question then is what are you learning from change. Noted author, coach, and inspirational Christian speaker Ron Olsen addresses these thoughts. Every event whether positive or negative includes a teachable moment it is these moments that so many of us fail to learn from. Ron can find the good in almost every situation and find the teachable moments. Carl Bard once said, “Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.

Arnold Bennett stated that “it is easier to go down a hill than up, but the view is best from the top. Have you tried to make plans but they just don’t quite work the way you thought? Perhaps there is a new lesson to be learned sometimes it is beneficial to have a few detours along the path of a goal. This makes life an adventure. Yes we get so focused on planning and creating the steps to our goals but we must not only see the steps we must make the steps. Sometimes we can’t see the entire route to our objective it is better to know where you are going and checking to make sure each step is a solid step. Ron Olsen shares tips on how to become more focused on making each step instead of trying to climb the Goal Mountain straight up.

Life is becoming more crowded everyday; the latest technology, keeping up with the Jones’s or even the Kardashians’ the question is to ask is ‘are you truly happy?’ with all of the stuff you have around you or are you feeling somewhat smothered? Although not what most people would envision as a minimalist Ron understands the mentality of stripping down to the essence of what makes life more enjoyable. Ron understands it is not about trying to impress others it is more about becoming true to yourself and better managing the resources around you. Ron speaks from the point of view of someone who has been overwhelmed and is slowly working his way back to sanity by finding the essence of what is truly needed to make life more comfortable and relaxed without the need to impress anyone.
